Our Staff
At the heart of every childcare center lies in an ensemble of caring staff members who are dedicated to the success of the students they work with. At Pee Wee Prep, we understand the importance of the bond children share with their teachers, and focus on building a healthy, trusting relationship with each family we serve.
We embrace the opportunity to work with students of all backgrounds and experiences, and our inclusive classrooms welcomes each child's unique abilities and interests. Using various research-based methodologies and lessons, our age appropriate curriculum is tailored to the developmental needs of each child, giving them to the tools to succeed in their future academic endeavors.
Our practices and operations have been developed to ensure the safety and consideration of all our students, their families, our staff and the community we serve. Our staff follow strict guidelines from the New Jersey Office of Licensing, maintaining (at minimum) a child development associate's (CDA) degree, and completing a background check, fingerprinting, as well as CPR and First Aid certification.

After nearly 10 years in construction and having served as both a social worker and special education teacher in her previous roles,
Miss Marnie enthusiastically uses her varied background to ensure our center operates well above standards, providing homely, attentive care for all of our students.
Jo Ann Sica
Owner
After spending more than 30 years as a high school mathematics and geometry teacher for Jersey City Public Schools, Miss Jo Ann helped found Pee Wee Prep in 1983. Since 2016, she has overseen all general operations and administration within the center, incorporating decades of experience into our program.
